The scene from Tati's Playtime that I found fascinating was when a complete stranger invited Hulot over to his palce after riding the bus with him. The area what sparked my interested was when Hulot entered the gentleman's apartment and it could be clearly seen what was taken place without hearing a word. Besides that apartment, the whole apartment complex was on full display, that there was no sense of privacy, but a luster to examine what was going on each box.
The idea of having a transparent edge that determines the public vs. provate was a defining moment in illustrating; how do we define the edge? and how do we define what's public and private? It asks a straight forward question about determining the boundaries of social spaces.
